Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy covers what arhaty.com collects when you read it, and what happens to it. The short version: almost nothing, and nothing is sold.

1. Who we are

Arhaty runs arhaty.com and is responsible for the data described here. Write to legal@arhaty.com with any question about it. We follow Swiss data protection law, and the GDPR where it applies to you.

2. What we collect

When you load a page, our hosting provider records standard request data: your IP address, the time, the page you asked for and your browser. We use it only to run and secure the site. We ask nothing of you: there are no accounts and no forms.

3. Cookies and analytics

The site sets no cookies, and on arhaty.com Vercel counts page views and measures how fast pages load. For each visit it records the page, the site that sent you, your country, browser, operating system and device type, and for speed also your connection type and load timings. It tells visitors apart for 24 hours by a hash of the request, not a cookie, never tracks you across sites, and no advertising or other third-party scripts run.

4. Who else processes it

Three providers handle data for us, each only to provide its service:

  • Vercel hosts the site, keeps its request logs and measures visits and page speed, in the United States.
  • Cloudflare runs our DNS and network, in the United States and worldwide.
  • Proton AG handles email sent to us, in Switzerland.

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Where data leaves Switzerland or the EU, it moves under each provider's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

Our providers keep request logs for their own retention periods, then delete them. We keep emails for as long as we need them to answer you.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal data we hold about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop using it

Write to legal@arhaty.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or to the data protection authority where you live.

7. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it. That date is the record of the current version.
